Pastor Jeffery Jansen graduated on the 26th November 1995 at Cape Bible Training Centre
with a Diploma in Biblical Studies and certificate in Advance Church Ministries. Upon
graduating he was no stranger to the ministry field. His love for God
and the ministry started in 1985; where became the leader of the
Christian Fellowship at Steenberg Senior Secondary School.
He also held numerous positions as youth leader, district youth
leader, deacon and then elder in the local church he attended where
he met his wife Elizabeth. In 2000 he established a ministry known
today as Gods Kingdom Ministries, where he was ordained in the
office as Pastor in 2003. Since then God as added 2 more churches
and 1 that was planted through evangelism outreach. He is the founder, visionary and
overseer of these churches. A passionate, motivated and disciplined man of God with a love
and a desire to develop, equipped and empower people for the work of the ministry.
Our church is a closely knitted family-like, lively and multi-cultural community. We have a comprehensive and diverse congregation in membership and the development thereof. We believe that we are a continues work in progress and that God is still teaching and forming us to be good stewards of His vineyard. Every step we take and move we make is by faith. We don’t always agree with each but we always find our way to move forward. The current morale amongst those who attend our church are high with a real sense of belonging and hope for the future.
This church began as a home group cell within a small community on the Cape Flats in Cape Town in the year 2000. The small group gathered in Heinz Park for a while before they resided to a house in Colorado. An initial group of 7 grew in the following years to +- 50 people which were established as Gods Kingdom Ministries. In recent years, as a result of a fervent desire to see growth, both spirituality and numerically within the church, we started a Home Based Care, Feeding Scheme as well as Benevolence Program within the church to serve the broader community. In 2014 – 2015 we have branch out to Beacon Valley in Mitchell’s Plain, Nelspoort and Nababeep based on the scripture of Joshua 1v8, to possess the land.
According to the 2015 census our current local community has a population of 7735 people
with an unemployment rate of 43%. This has cause an increase in teenage pregnancies,
domestic violence, robbery etc.; that has dampened the morale of the people in the
community and its surroundings.
We have a membership of 135 members at present as a whole, with slightly more women
than men. All candidates for membership attend a short course and are interviewed by the
leaders of the church to establish their faith in Christ Jesus
